New MOH

Just some info here on MOH - some old post's I did for it....

For those who may be interested the new MOH game has had some updates on progress - the game is not out until October
and most of the info on EA site has been for the single player side of thingsso far but check out below.

They have just released this news -:
EA Wants You! Recruiting Begins For Medal Of Honor Multiplayer Beta On June 21
arts on June 21. Players will be granted early access to two action-packed maps onthe PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system and PC. EA also announced today that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 VIPs who have pre-ordered Medal of Honor, will be able to enter the multiplayer beta even earlier; starting June 17. Developed by DICE, Medal of Honor multiplayer delivers world-class action and dedicated server support. Betakey distribution details are available at the Official Website. The beta maps will be playable this week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in EA’s booth located in the South Hall, booth #1601.

“In selecting a studio to create our multiplayer, there was no clearer choice than DICE. When it comes to online gameplay, they are world class,” said Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer on Medal of Honor. “We’re excited to be partnering with DICE to deliver a single-player/multiplayer experience that perfectly complement one another. Though the modes and maps are different, both sides of the game carry through the same authentic sentiment of today’s soldiers who are fighting today’s war.”

The Medal of Honor multiplayer beta features two heart-pounding modes set across two maps inspired by real world locations: Helmand Valley and Kabul City Ruins. In Team Assault mode, players must rely on their raw skill and map knowledge to stay alive in intense and close quarter combat. In Combat Mission, a tactical and team-based mode, gamers fight through a series of objectives revealed through an engaging narrative. Both modes pit two teams of 12 players (total 24 players) against one another with realistic destruction, tactical support actions, and a weapon customization system with modifications that generate hundreds of combinations.

Separately, the Medal of Honor single-player campaign is being developed by EALA who has been working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the U.S. Special Operations Community to create the most authentic modern war experience possible.

I have just done the pre-order (download) and you get then game for £29.99 and get access to the beta multiplayer two maps as above.

Going to give it a try - bit concerned it looks a bit well "BATTLEFIELD" but guess it would with DICE doing that side but will see what the gameplay is like and hopefully wont be any cheats on it for a couple of months

Another video of multiplAy 11mins HQ - dont know what mode but not seeing any vehicle involvement which is COOL - some air strikes but not sure if that''s for effect or you are able to call them in ?? looks good dont see it as ground breaking new - for MOH new yeh but seen before on others.

One neg so far is score kill flashing in / all over the screen not what you want when you have multiply kill targets in front of you very distracting - but maybe adjustable in settings.....I hope. but looks very good - lets see how it feels ))))

And cheat free....for now any way - I could do with some winter snow skins with my eyesight but at least they have white head bandages on LMAO

Well Then HEATSINK has now been on the FRONTLINE for 2.5hours on TIER 1..............

So first thoughts..........

Key controls are fine and map to much the way you would have set up on MOHAA, some exception's!! Lean has gone - suspect to stop wall clipping, can't say I have missed it but still 10 years on and going backwards on that was my first thought!!!

Two extra keys needed - one for breath control on sniper, not noticed its use yet will come back to that in a bit, next extra key is for nade chuck seems ok no problems their.

Speed - walk is more of a jog and a great speed feels good like our custom map server setup the other night - On run you hold your gun to your chest and can't fire till you stop running - seems to work ok no probs their.

Maps - well two maps on beta and they are grat maps - good lay multi level - in game damage no prob's here either )))

Down to Graphic's - for me not done to much of late on new games - the graphics are fantastic - the detail and effects amazing.

Game types - well on this beta only two so far Team match and Objective no sign of Freeze tag yet but hey that wasn't in MOHAA its a MOD so time will tell.

Points to note-:

ZOOM well this SUCKS!!! no lie it gives you about 3metres on for example AK47....so what do you get on SNIPER well emmmmm ahhhh oh yeh 3 bloody metres its about as much use as looking through a milk bottle - infact ya better off not using it!!!

From what I have got my head round is on mulltiplayer you start as a (NOOB) ranger - by the looks of it and I am not sure yet both info and gameplay is well WTF is going on but I think as you play you get more skill points and it unlock's features so you would get more options on weapons and setting's.
If this is the case this suck's cuz some pore old noob and yeh even though I been on FPS for 20 years ya feel like a god dam noob on here, it means not only is the game hard enough to get into as it is you will be playing against UBU, VOY and Relentless rolled into one with better hard ons

Well getting to the game play!!!!

Well is this MOH is it FXXK not played BF for a while but I used to be ok with BF1942 think that was still on Quake engine back then!!!!

The problem's..........

Well as I said the graphics are fantastic but what ever setting you do even the most basic their is so much going on - is it realistic well yes and no - how many times do you get a crisp packet blown past your face!!! well their is so much blowing around in-front you on this!!!

The colour's well hard to explain but you get distinct colours on our old DOG MOHAA on here its like their is so much detail but all the colours just blend and feel a wish wash!!!

Can I find a scum bag to kill can I hell - camp and ya die run ya die I cant put into word's but it don't feel good, the zoom well again not sure on this skill setup but felt like I had the milk bottle and every one else had the hubble telescope and a laser

So yeh not feeling good about it - can these issues get better yeh - but lol I am on a BETA and they have not even givenyou a method of feeding back into beta program to raise these issues!!!! same old EA!!!

Well as for DICE well its about as much MOHAA as Pacman - A reboot it is but they did a FORMAT of harddisk and re-installed.....well not MOH thats just a name !!!!!

So will crack on this week with it but a bad taste at present very disappointed to the point that I need to try COD and compare and then see how I feel..................
