What is MD5
MD5 is an algorithm that is used to verify data integrity through the creation of a 128-bit message digest from data input (which may be a message of any length or a file) that is claimed to be as unique to that specific data as a fingerprint is to the specific individual.
In our case there are many maps that have the same name but have been altered so using MD5 we can verify the user has the correct map and not a different version.
In the AAAA Map database the vast majority of our maps have MD5 codes for you which can be seen on the main selected map page eg example map http://www.mohaaaa.co.uk/AAAAMOHAA/content/007-bunker the MD5 code is in the right corner of the page
