**** STEP 4 A for Windows 7 !!!
To prevent some errors do the following -:
Problem: Problem Extracting Data from your Config
********* Please note that below is now out of date since build 7 of MOHAAC you should not need to do any changes as below on Virtual store ****************
******** Continue from Step5 as Build 7 has fixed the virtual store issue ************
Description:
This is due to Windows 7's Virtual Store function being enabled and active on your MOHAA directory. Virtual Store was designed to increase compatibility but actually destroys it in many cases such as this one.
Solution:
Step #1:
Click Start and type "cmd" into the search textbox which appears
Step #2: Right click on the cmd that appears and select "Run as Administrator"
Step #3: Type this command into the command prompt: takeown /f "MOHAAPath" /r /d y (Of course, you need to replace MOHAAPath with the actual path where your MOHAA resides - It's assumed you know how to retrieve the proper path to your MOHAA)
EAMPLE -: takeown /f "C:\PROGRA~1\EAGAME~1\MOHAA" /r /d y
Step #4: After the command completes, go to your MOHAA directory and right click MOHAA.exe. From the drop-down menu select "Properties". Go to the "Compatibility" tab and select "Run this program as an administrator". Click Apply and OK.
Step #5: Launch MOHAA, re-set your name and settings (if needed). This problem should now be completely resolved.
Run MOHAAC after install -:
Now select your file path -:
**** STEP 5 - At this stage you would just key in the "match ID" given to you by the match organizer but we are going to setup your own match ID so you can test -:
Click on the button in the bottom left that says "SETUP MATCH"
Change the id to be anything like aaaatest and then what ever make it random so its new
Once that is complete you are ready to launch -:
Key in Match id you have setup (or have been given) Click on "START"
In my case I have two flags just click on ok and lauch your game as normal............
*********
Problem: Xfire cannot launch my MOHAA
Description:
This is because Xfire is being run without sufficient priviledges to run applications which require administrator rights.
Solution:
Step #1:
Navigate to your Xfire directory (usually %PROGRAMFILES%\Xfire).
Step #2:
Right click Xfire.exe and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. Click on the compatibility tab and select "Run this program as an administrator". Click Apply and OK.
Step #3:
Restart Xfire. This problem should now be completely resolved.
