Getting the Clan back into MOHAA

Hello there.

This is a question as well as a welcome.

Many years ago myself and a friend ran the =[NeC]= Nightly Elite Clan. We ran 2 game servers, TDM and MODS the MODS server always being full. Most of our members moved over to the xbox and started playing COD, this meant I had to shut our servers down as our members no longer used them. Ten years on myself and another member thought it would be a good idea to have a go at MOHAA once again on the pc. I started investigating and my first step was to check out some online servers and I was amazed to discover that there are still servers running with many people playing. I have decided to try and get some of our members back into MOHAA so we can start enjoying again what we done all them years ago.

I wanted to ask a quick question if someone could answer it for me? I wanted to sort out my files and software and check that everything ran smoothly before running a server again.. So I started out by digging out my old MOHAA files and discovered that I no longer have Counter Intelligence (A program that I am familiar with) I have noticed that you have a link to this on the site but I cant get it to work, is it a broken link or is it just not available anymore? I cant seem to find any other links online. If this is the case, would there be any members that have this software already that could send it to me or file share?

Hopefully I will be able to get the game server running next week and our teamspeak server aong with a few of the members from the NeC and hopefully we can add more hours to the many hours we did playing all them year ago.

If your missing a copy of MOHAA Be sure to checkout the latest version of MOHAA http://mohaarevival.tk/

with ref to CI Only stuff I have found so far is attached - may not be full copy sorry.....

With Reference to Teamspeak checkout the AAAA Public TS community 109.70.148.92:9987 also happy to setup you a free sub group on their - If no one about on that TS drop in on MAW Clan which is my Clan 109.70.148.92:9931 Clan admins are Nanlinda / Mushroom / Victor who are all a great bunch and help you get up to speed with all the changes to MOHAA

With reference to server hosting Here on AAAA we run a Community non profit hosting for MOHAA / MOHSH thats all we run

With ref to running a server all AAAA Servers run the X-null Reborn patch which is the next generation of MOHAA servers

Most dont run the old school scanners any more and use the Reborn tools - the server build also has a lot of anti cheat and feature enhancements for MOHAA Also work in progress is a new Client version

Other new options are auto mapdownload via Pakradar mod also available on AAAA

In our Resources\Tools section we have MOHAA CI still available.

Quick shortcut: HERE

There's a chance it might not work on Win7 and above though.

I believe CK Autokick does work on Win7 (updated file is needed for this however).

Although scapp-host is a relatively new and better program, however it might be a bit more confusing at first but you can do a lot more with it:

Many thanks for all of your advice. Its good to be back and part of a mohaa gaming community once again.

I have been busy tonight and I will not be in tomorrow evening as I run our local rifle club which takes up allot of my time. I will be home Thursday evening so will get everything set up then.

The only thing that worries me is my main pc running windows 10., it could be interesting trying to get everything running on there. I do have a couple of laptops running windows 8 and windows xp but I would prefer to use my main pc so will give that a go first.

I will let you know how i get on.

Once things are looking good I will then get servers set up etc.

Hi guys.

Its been a busy week this end so I have not been able to install mohaa yet. I am downloading the game as we speak from mohaa revival. I thought this would be easier then trying to transfer the files from my other hard drive.

This also means I will not have to patch the game.

Now to see if it will run on windows 10, will keep you posted.

Ok all downloaded and I have run the game.

I can not load any games or get into any servers. I keep on getting the LOCALIZATION ERROR: 'MOHAA Console' does not have a localization entry. This comes up in the console when starting the game and when ever I try and connect to a server. Everything downloaded from mohaa revival.

Can any one help?

What OS did you say your using client side ?

Ahh just seen you mentioned Windows 10 - yeh Revival isnt fully supported yet - the guy who created it Own3mall is on Xnull site

Hi Shadow.

It was all to do with the files I had downloaded from mohaa revival. I got help while I was on the =[M.A.W]= TS server. I had to download a file to add to the main folder. I am not sure of the file as I am on another computer (maybe local.txt?) As far as I am aware the issue was not to do with windows 10 and all seems to be running fine on my windows 10 pc.

Shadow i resolve his problem by getting the localization.txt file because he was getting the error of not getting the localization of the CONSOLE but was a strange error, is like the game was not reading the file from the Pak0.pk3 file.
