yes the website is "not so quick" in loading, whats the cause of that ?

Re: AAAA Website Performance

Hi Joto thanks for the feedback - The basics are that Drupal is a bit more demanding than most websites say nuke I think mainly as each module runs separate from the core and seems to use a lot of memory and mysql connections - daft thing is I can run it on my own PC as webserver and its fast as hell - The current GD host is a subhost not one of their own web servers so they cant up the spec such as memory allocation or mysql settings hence why we are trying to move it to one of their own where they have said they will change anything we need but I cant ask them to change everthing Jawdropping!
My other option would to be move it to one of our own dedi's I already have Apache running on Dedi one so could move it but for the sake of £1.99 hosting costs didnt want to put more stress on the dedi........

As for why it wont run on GD's new webserver well have compared the settings between the two and although their are many differences it should run but for the love of god cant find which one is creating the problems.

Daft thing is I can run Drupal clean as in new install on GD new box - also GD are letting us have the new website free (

Some of the differences are like PHP is a newer version but lots of other things different also but just cant put my finger on it and the error messages lead know where helpful......BUT I have not given up yet

It may be just a couple of modules are not compatible with their build but again their are so many and impossible to work out which........

Happy shooting - Kill em ALL and kill em again

Re: AAAA Website Performance

mmmmmm just had thought, think I will copy it to dedi and deactivate all non core modules then back it up and move it to the new webserver just to see if that works - if it does I will just have to re-enable a few modules at a time until I find the beast that is causing the problem..........
